Job Description:

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible maintaining the books for a fast-paced healthcare start-up. This individual will interface with Managers and Directors of the company on a day-to-day basis and will be heavily involved in accounting, research, bookkeeping, and ad-hoc reporting projects. Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist with month end and quarter end close process
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting for accounting and finance team
  • Update roll-forwards for multiple balance sheet accounts
  • Complete bank reconciliations
  • Create fixed asset and depreciation schedules
  • Assist with budgeting and budget reconciliations
  • Validate expenses and maintain an amortization schedules

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years bookkeeping or accounting experience and a 4-year degree  is required
  • Intimate knowledge of QuickBooks; certification preferred
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Interest in working in a high-performing environment that requires the ability to multi-task and think creatively
  • Working knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and US GAAP standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
